Mon 19 Feb Wilstone: 2 Snipe (in front of hide), 3 Whooper Swans, 5 Ruddy Duck (3m 2f), Lesser BB Gull, 7 Common Gulls, Lapwing (37 flying over), Chiffchaff (by side of hide) (Roger Merrison)
Sat 17 Feb Wilstone: 5 Redwing (in tree), the Little Owl (near its nestbox), c18 Greylag geese, Firecrest (m), Treecreeper, 2 Ruddy Duck (also 2 on Startops), 3 Goldeneye (1m+3f, 2 (only) Shoveler, lots of Wigeon. No sign of Pintail or RC Pochards. Plus a deer (? species) sleeping in field on other side of road to 'cemetary corner' (Robin Pearson)
Fri 16 Feb Wilstone: 4 Pintail (2m2f), 2 Goldeneye (m+f), 4 Shellduck, Firecrest still around, plus good numbers of Shoveler & Wigeon. And the remains of a Sparrowhawk's dinner - a starling - on mossy tree stump in front of hide (on L) (KE)

Sunday 11 Feb Wilstone: Red crested pochard (f) near the reedbed by the hide, 6 Goldeneye (one pair and 3 m chasing and displaying to a female), 4 Ruddy Duck (1m 3f), the little owl ( in its tree in field on E side), buzzard, Sparrowhawk (soaring over field to W), water pipit (foraging among the reedbed in the SE corner), chiffchaff (on the path to the hide, flitting openly) but no geese present, only about 12 Mute Swans and only 1 great crested grebe ((08.30-11.30 Mark Fuchter)
