FoTR information about Tringford Reservoir

Facilities

As I say, very basic

Access

Tringford Reservoir can be reached by crossing the road from Marsworth and Startops End Reservoirs at the far end of the causeway.

A footpath runs along one side of Tringford Reservoir then runs through trees to the small hide at the far end. A pleasant circular walk is possible using footpaths or canal towpaths.

Habitat

Open water
Since the demise of the tall Elm trees, Tringford Reservoir is edged to the west with mature Horse Chestnut and there is a stand of Common Lime near the pumping station. The wet woodland to the east has mainly Alder, poplars and Sycamore with an understorey of Elder and small, and somewhat diseased, Elms.
