Thank you to all those who helped at the various work parties over the years.

The photos below show some of us at work! But we do need your help from time to time, so why not have a go.

Weatherproofing The Hide

The hide at the Water Treatment Works was 5 years old in 2002 and it was re-weatherproofed that year. Thanks go to Gilleard Bros (the hide manufacturers) who advised us on the stuff to use and supplied it at cost.

Habitat Enhancement

As part of our plan to improve the habitat for dragonflies and other insects we followed advice from a local expert and introduced some emergent and floating vegetation from the nearby canal.

British Waterways had kindly given us permission to transplant some plants from this section of canal on this particular day.

And the work goes on!

Work still needs to be carried out from time to time, including re-proofing the hide, clearing scrub etc. Watch the Events page in the Grebe and the Homepage for when the next Work Party is planned.
